Art Space

Art Space is the venue for exhibitions and events organized by the Giorgio Griffa Foundation. It is housed in the building known as Loft 1, which also hosts the artist’s studio, where Giorgio has been coming every day for over twenty years to paint and think about his art. 

Loft 1 is a tangible piece of Turin’s rich artistic heritage. A former industrial complex, it was chiefly a Michelin tire depot from the post-war years until the 1980s, when the factory moved out and artists moved in. Among them were leading names of Turin’s thriving contemporary art scene, including Gastini, Mainolfi, and Zorio. 
It is a legacy that the Giorgio Griffa Foundation is proud to carry on.

Located in the Vanchiglietta district, between the central Piazza Vittorio and the Po and Dora rivers, Art Space is the exhibition venue of the Giorgio Griffa Foundation, where contemporary art comes to life.
